The United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has recently launched a new webpage that reveals the intelligence gathering tools used by agents in the 1970s. Among these tools was "Charlie," a radar-controlled rubber catfish that could stealthily approach targets and steal information without the enemy's knowledge. Surprisingly, its swimming motion was quite realistic.
Researchers also developed a "spy dragonfly," an autonomous unmanned device capable of secretly flying into rooms to eavesdrop. However, it was only in the testing phase. Other ingenious gadgets included a small tool that could roll up and extract letters from envelopes without opening them, as well as miniature cameras.
These devices have left people in awe, with some even saying they would make James Bond "green with envy."
