On December 10, the longest lunar eclipse in more than a decade brought the night sky to life. The red on the moon's surface is the result of sunlight passing through the Earth's atmosphere and refracting onto the moon. Areas in Asia were in the best viewing zone for the lunar eclipse, where the total lunar eclipse was visible.
