China's GDP this year may surpass Germany and become the world's third largest after the United States and Japan

W· A paper published recently by Robert Fogel is even more optimistic, predicting that in 2040, China's GDP will reach $123.675 trillion, accounting for 40% of global GDP, and surpassing the combined GDP of the United States, India, the European Union, and Japan.
