DOTA 2 is coming to Linux and Mac

DOTA 2 is a DotA-style competitive game developed by Valve. Since Valve started porting its own gaming platforms, Steam and Source, to the Linux environment last year, many people have been eagerly anticipating and hoping for the release of a Linux version of DOTA 2.

Today, the Dota 2 development community quietly added sections for Linux and Mac, and an official statement was released: "Please note that Dota 2 Linux is still in testing and only available on Dota 2 Test. We’re looking for early testing and feedback from users before we ship Linux support on the main Dota 2 release client. Your feedback and bug reports will directly help us improve Dota 2 on Linux."
