Google launches open source blog migration tool

Google on Friday launched an open source project, the Google Blog Migration Tool, designed to help people migrate their blogs from one platform to another. There are many blog publishing platforms, some service-based and some software-based, and although blog data is not locked down, there are many obstacles to moving a blog from one platform to another.
