Wooden box design for laptop

Brian Kelly, who hails from Philadelphia, designed this Ply Laptop Case in his free time. It's a wooden box intended for housing a laptop, offering good heat protection. However, it still feels a bit odd; the laptop doesn't seem to fit well inside, as if they're not meant to go together. I think my appreciation for it is more about admiration, especially for its creativity...
