China Mobile launched the Ophone on the Android platform in the first quarter

China Mobile plans to launch a 3G phone based on the Android platform in the first quarter of this year, sources said on Friday. The handset, known as the OPhone, will be the first in China to use Google's mobile operating system and will use China's own TD-SCDMA technology.
