The International Internet Treaty officially took effect in China on Tuesday

From tomorrow, anyone who uses online works without the permission of online authors, performers or producers of audio and video recordings will be liable for copyright infringement.

Long Xinmin, former director of the National Copyright Administration, said that joining the two treaties will help strengthen China's cooperation with the international community in intellectual property protection, learn from the successful experience of the international community in the field of copyright protection in the Internet, improve China's copyright legal system, help improve the level of copyright protection in China's Internet and promote the rapid development of China's Internet industry.
