Jeremie Francone and Laurence Nigay from EHCI have developed a technology that can create a 3D effect on the iPad 2 screen. This technology does not require 3D glasses, nor does it use the accelerometer to determine the screen's position. Instead, it utilizes the FaceTime camera on the iPad 2 to track the viewer's head in front of the screen, determining the angle of view, and then calculating the corresponding image.
