The series was originally written by Kim Casali from the United States. In the 1960s, Kim casually drew small pictures for her fiance Roberto as a note of love, and painted them for ten years, until their marriage. Kim Casali died in 1997. After her death, her son Stefano Casali continued his mother's work, collaborating with painter Bill Asprey to continue the story of love to this day.
