The director of the film, J.J. Abrams, had previously publicly expressed his hope that Williams would compose for this movie. It is reported that Michael Arndt, the Oscar-winning screenwriter who wrote the classic Pixar animation scripts for "Toy Story 3" and "Little Miss Sunshine", is currently writing the script for "Star Wars 7".
