Macaque Acts as Guardian of Kittens | Friend of Photography

This is an interesting story that took place in a forest reserve in Bali, Indonesia: A long-tailed macaque held a kitten in its arms and wouldn't let go, taking on the role of the kitten's protector. It didn't even allow other macaques to approach it. When photographer Anne Young got close to them, the macaque actually tried to cover the kitten with large leaves from the ground. Looking at the tenderness in its expression as it held the kitten, and the way the kitten snuggled up to it, one can't help but feel envious!
