Won the Gold Medal in the Culture and Arts News category. Sun Xiaoqing's "Yushu Don't Cry" won the Yushu Earthquake - "Earthquake relief" category special contribution award, Qin Lou's "Premier Wen Jiabao Visits the disaster Area" won the special award, Peng Nian's "Guardian" won the gold medal. China Photojournalism "Golden Lens" annual news photo selection is the most academic and authoritative annual competition in China's photojournalism industry, which has been held for 18 consecutive years, and is known as China's "Dutch competition" in the industry.

It is reported that the 2009 "Golden Lens" photojournalism selection received more than 22,800 works selected by more than 2,000 participating authors, the number of participating authors and the number of participating works are the largest in history. These award-winning works truthfully record and reflect the hot news, major events and the daily life of the people in China and the world that year.

At the award ceremony on the evening of the 18th, these shocking award-winning works were presented one by one, and more than 100 award-winning photojournalists took the stage to accept the lofty honor of their photography career, and told the scene of their sweet and sour photography road and the little-known story behind the award-winning works.

Huo Wei, executive secretary-general of the Organizing committee of the China Photojournalism Golden Lens Award Ceremony, said that the natural, cultural and social environment of Qingdao provides a good platform for the award of the China Photojournalism Golden Lens Award. Since 2010, the China Photojournalism "Golden Lens" Award Ceremony will be permanently settled in Qingdao. It is hoped that Qingdao will be the basis for the China Photojournalism Golden Lens Award Ceremony to become the "Oscar" of Chinese photojournalism.
