The India Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo covers an area of 4,000 square meters and is inspired entirely by India's oldest and most imposing architecture. The pavilion's vaulted gate, inspired by the "Siddi Syed" temple in Ahmedabad; The terracotta and bluestone floors, inspired by the Rampur Palace in Vananasi, are cooled by built-in water pipes; Symbolizing India's theme of "Vientiane harmony", the central dome is inspired by the Sanchi Stupa, an architectural style often found in Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Jainism, Sikhism and Christianity, allowing visitors to feel as if they are in a sacred place of Dharma and find inner peace.
