The first photo of the NDM1 superbug

Tatsuo Yamamoto, a professor at the Graduate School of Niigata University in Japan, has successfully photographed "super" coliform bacteria through an electron microscope, Kyodo News reported Monday. The bacterium has a gene called NDM1, which is resistant to most antibiotics. Yamamoto said this should be the world's first successful photo of the NDM1 superbug.
