The "Droste effect" is a time-honored visual art characterized by image recursion and spatial overlap. Like a space-time vortex, a picture repeats and extends infinitely without an end, and looking at it for too long can even make you dizzy, feeling as though you're about to be sucked into it. This seems somewhat similar to the story we used to tell when we were kids: "Once upon a time, there was a mountain, on the mountain there was a temple, in the temple lived an old monk and a young monk. The old monk said to the young monk: 'Once upon a time, there was a mountain, on the mountain there was a temple, in the temple lived...'"...
