When consumers receive express delivery, they often encounter problems such as item loss, damage, replacement, and goods not on the board, and "first sign, after inspection" has almost become the unhidden rules of the express delivery industry.
Recently, Beijing, Shanghai and other 21 cities of the consumer Association and China Consumer newspaper, a total of 22 urban consumer rights protection units made it clear that the "first sign, after the inspection of goods" rules violate consumers' right to know, should be cancelled.
Many consumer complaints reflect that most express company salesmen are tough when delivering goods, claiming that if the outer packaging of the express goods is intact, the express company has completed the service obligation, so it must be "signed first, after the inspection of the goods", the express company is not responsible for the signature; Consumers believe that even if the outer package is intact, the items inside may be replaced or damaged, so they should "check the goods first, and then sign."
In this regard, 22 urban consumer rights protection units believe that the express industry "sign first, then inspect the goods" this "trade rule", not only violates the consumer's right to know and fair trading rights, in violation of the "Courier service postal industry standards", but also objectively encourages the fraud that often occurs in off-site shopping. Unreasonable practices such as "first sign, then inspect" and "first pay for goods, then inspect goods" should be cancelled as soon as possible, and various illegal and unfair format clauses on express documents should be deleted.
