1. Codenamed Snow Leopard; initial version number is 10.6.

2. Snow Leopard will focus primarily on improving performance and stability. This version will be optimized for multi-core processors, introducing a new technology called "Grand Central" that simplifies the process of programming for multi-core processors for developers. This version will also support GPU-based general-purpose computing acceleration through OpenCL (Open Computing Language).

3. Snow Leopard will be a fully 64-bit operating system, supporting up to 16TB of memory. It will include the next-generation media player QuickTime X, and provide native support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 enterprise services.
