The iPhone 3G will go on sale Friday at 8 a.m.

According to the introduction on Apple's homepage, the iPhone 3G will be available for sale in all Apple specialty stores starting at 8:00 AM on July 11th. You can register your personal information in the specialty store, which will help you select a phone and allow you to test it: make a call, browse web pages, or receive emails.

Shopping Tips from the Apple Store

Tip 1. Shop early. Shop late. The store tends to be busiest in the middle of the day. Shopping early in the morning or late in the evening helps you avoid the crowds.
