Today, foreign media Hacker News dug up criticism of C++ by Linus Torvalds, the founder of Linux, from as far back as five years ago. Back then, someone posted on a forum denigrating Git's source code while praising C++, which irritated Linus. Linus has always been a straightforward person who clearly expresses his likes and dislikes, and he promptly dismissed C++ as being worthless.
"You're really talking nonsense. C++ is a horrible language, and even worse, many incompetent programmers are using it. Choosing C is the wisest decision. Those programmers who choose C++ over C for their projects, I’d rather they stay away so they don’t mess up my project."
