Ricoh has officially announced the fourth generation of the GR-Digital today. The GRD series has always been popular among photography enthusiasts, and the release of the GRD IV is expected to create another wave of excitement. Compared with the previous GRD III, the GRD IV can be considered a minor update.

The image processing engine has been changed to GR ENGINE IV, and the ISO range has been adjusted to ISO80-ISO3200 (the previous model was ISO64-ISO1600). Additionally, the quality of the 3" LCD on the back has been improved to 1.23 million pixels.

The anti-shake compensation system of the GRD IV has also been adjusted, now using "sensor-shift anti-shake + external AF compensation," whereas the previous model only had sensor-shift anti-shake.

The GRD IV still features an F1.9 large-aperture fixed focal length lens, equivalent to a 28mm wide-angle lens. It uses a 1/1.7" CCD sensor, maintaining a resolution of 10 million pixels.

Ricoh has also launched a limited edition white version of the GRD IV, while the regular retail version comes in black.
