Google is launching an offline version of Gmail

Beijing time on the morning of January 28 news, according to foreign media reports, Google announced in the corporate blog on Tuesday that it will provide a new function for "Google Applications" enterprise users and Gmail personal users to provide offline email.

This offline feature allows users to read, star, label, archive, or organize emails through a browser without Internet access. Users can also write new messages and save them to the outbox, which can be sent once they are online.

The offline mail service is based on the Google Gears platform, with which Google has launched offline capabilities for Google Docs, Google Reader, and several third-party web apps. The company also plans to offer offline functionality for other Google apps, such as Google Calendar. Google expects to complete the offline version of Gmail within a few days. (Sean)
