The web version of Google Talk is released

Google Talk is an instant messaging software developed by Google that uses the XMPP protocol, similar to the Jabber server, allowing users to connect using different applications that support Jabber features.

Google Talk has won over many Fans and casual users alike for its simplicity and small size. Today, Google updated Google Talk and made it available in a web version that users can use through a browser without having to install Google Talk.

As you can see, this version is based on recent gadgets that can be added directly to the personalization page (code: here).
