Google China will launch a Linux-based desktop search product tomorrow. This is the first multi-language version of the product developed by the Chinese team for the world.
The product is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese. Google Desktop Search Linux is available for Linux,Mac OS X, and Windows operating systems, allowing users to easily, quickly, and comprehensively search for information locally and on the Web. Prior to this,Google has launched a number of Linux-based products, including Picasa image editing and sharing software for Linux,Google Earth for Linux,Google Talk,Google SketchUp and other products.
In February,Google confirmed that it was developing Linux desktop software called Goobuntud.
Recently, a Google employee revealed the latest news of the company, saying that the company has the latest plan to get involved in Linux. To meet the needs of Linux users, the company will launch Google Apps based on the Linux platform this year.
