Google's web index reaches one trillion pages

An article on the official Google blog claims that the number of web pages they currently index has reached one trillion (1,000,000,000,000). In 1998, Google indexed only 26 million pages, and by 2000 it had reached 1 billion. Now, Google indexes more than hundreds of billions of new web pages every day.
