Pirate Ship plans to release a new solid state drive series named "Performance 3" (shortened as P3 series) at the end of this month, targeting high-performance users and featuring a SATA 6Gbps high-speed interface. The Corsair P3 series SSDs also come in the standard 2.5-inch form factor, complete with a 3.5-inch bracket. Inside, they use the Marvell 9174 SATA 6Gbps controller, available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, with built-in cache of 128MB, supporting TRIM, and an average mean time between failures (MTBF) of 1.5 million hours.

In terms of performance, the 64GB model offers sustained read speeds up to 365MB/s, surpassing the theoretical limit of the SATA 3Gbps interface, while write speeds reach 110MB/s. The 128GB model boosts read and write speeds to 410MB/s and 210MB/s respectively, and the 256GB model further accelerates to 480MB/s for reads and 320MB/s for writes. SATA 6Gbps, your moment to shine has finally arrived.
