Insight: The light bulb moment

This is a fluorescent light bulb, the designer joked about the classic English joke of light bulb joke. This bulb is roughly the same size as a regular bulb, its diffused and twisted form creates a kind of radiating light in all directions, which is a kind of light effect that cannot be provided by ordinary point source bulbs.
