MySpace is not a model when it comes to website design and development, but users don't care. To date, MySpace has reached 140 million users. We might even say that MySpace has become a cultural phenomenon. MySpace provides a free space for ordinary users to add slideshows, photos, custom designs and other kinds of content. MySpace also provided an easy path to fame for unknown bands who might one day change the music industry. Think of MySpace as the new MTV, except that all of its users are stars. In 2007, MySpace is likely to enter the huge growth potential of the Chinese market. It remains to be seen whether MySpace can cope with the fierce competition in China.

Bebo has become one of the most exciting social networking sites out there and we believe it will continue to grow at a high rate in 2007. Multiply takes the authenticity of its circle of friends very seriously, and we were worried that this "closed" model would hold it back, but that's what makes it unique. Multiply started out as a clone of MySpace and is now a serious competitor. Vox ranked second in the popular vote, and there is no doubt that it is also an excellent blogging platform.
