Monthly Budgeting is a new budgeting option (via) launched by Google AdWords in early January 2009 that allows advertisers to set their budgets on a monthly rather than a daily basis. Some customers will find this form of budgeting more effective than daily budgeting and better suited to their business needs.

The following example is a good illustration of the difference between a "monthly budget" and the previous "daily budget" :

Assume that there are only two days in a month, the first day is a low-traffic day, and the second day is a high-traffic day. The maximum amount you need to pay for low clicks on the first day is only RMB 80. The maximum amount you need to pay for the next day's high clicks can be up to RMB 240.
