In the 1980s, action and adventure dominated science fiction films, thanks in large part to the popularity of Star Wars. the decade was also filled with bad movies (like Master of the universe), horrible movies (Superman IV), and crap movies that were too bad to watch (Flash Golton), but even so, you'd have no trouble finding a lot of good ones, But trying to limit the list of these great films to a manageable length is mind-boggling.
