Baidu has officially released a new product: Baidu Blind Path (http://dao.baidu.com/) on April 25. It will be the country's first Internet product specifically developed for the visually impaired.
Baidu employees told reporters that two years ago, Baidu held an essay contest. One of the children touched them with a story about teaching his blind parents how to surf the Internet. Baidu officials say there are about 5 million blind people in China, in addition to more than 6 million people with low vision. Internationally, search engines have become the main applications for blind people to access the Internet. However, in China, although there are a number of auxiliary software for the use of the blind, but because of the lack of special barrier-free design, the blind have become the "information island" in the tide of the network, which is the original intention of Baidu to develop this product.
