Why is CB so popular?

I remember when diglog went live, CB wasn't out yet. Now that CB is hot, diglog is lagging behind. There are some reasons here that I think are worth analyzing and discussing.

Why do players like to put news on CB for the same piece of information, but don't want to put it on diglog? Obviously, diglog and CB focus on different things. CB dares to post any news related to information technology. diglog, on the other hand, I personally feel more focused on the collection of "gadgets".

I think this may be related to the fact that diglog did not use major domestic news websites as source information in the early days, and until now, diglog seems to have not broken through this box. Admittedly, this may have something to do with diglog's original intent. Diglog may think, even if this site has not been visited for N days, N days the hot information on the home page has not been updated, I still want to do what I like to do, I will never compromise. If diglog really thinks so, good for them, I support it. When diglog first launched, Diglogers focused on "gadgets" rather than paying attention to national headlines. In fact, digg's early development was also focused on "information technology-related news" as a field, but how did diglog focus on "gadgets"? That's a problem. Remember back then there was a down rating system where Diglogers couldn't and didn't dare submit stories that made national headlines. Once submitted, because it is not "interesting and fresh" gadgets, it will immediately face the danger of being down. I still think about it now, and this initial fear has affected me until now. diglog is now full of "fun and new" gadgets, and I personally feel that diglog is getting further and further away from its original purpose. Because I feel like diglog is starting to look less and less like digg.com and more and more like del.icio.us for bookmarks? But if it is a bookmark, it is not a professional bookmarking site. So I feel that diglog has become a little bit different, not like digg, not like del.icio.us. I don't even know where diglog is going.

A few days ago (http://www.diglog.com/group/DiggChina/discuss/8a832a9143a1431990814f3039547883/) I mentioned because domestic limits, digg's focus on "gadgets" is unlikely to make much headway in China. I even thought about focusing on the economy and culture, and of course if I did it myself I wouldn't have to focus on history or culture or whatever, but that's not possible with diglog right now.

So, do you think diglog should relax the theme a bit? For example, from the current "gadgets" to the topic of "information technology related news"?

Whether this situation is better is expected to be discussed by the digloger community.

thank you
