December 8 evening news, CCTV economic channel "Consumer Advocacy" aired a program content of about 5 minutes, exposing the involvement in pornography and violence of several literature websites under Shanda.
Since 2004, Shanda Literature has acquired seven online literature websites including起点 Chinese Literature Network, Hongxiu Add Fragrance Network,晋江 Original Literature Network, Novel Reading Network, Romance Novels Bar, and "Banyan Tree", currently occupying 80% of the domestic online literature market share.
The websites exposed for involvement in pornography and violence include起点 Chinese Literature Network,起点 Girls' Network, and晋江 Literature Network.
