From Read/Write Web, 15 years ago today (August 6), Tim Berners-Lee publicly launched his World Wide Web project on the Internet. Wikipedia introduces it as follows: "On August 6, 1991, he posted a short summary of the World Wide Web project on the alt.hypertext newsgroup. This day also marked the public debut of Web services officially introduced on the Internet." Without a doubt, Berners-Lee simultaneously developed the first Web browser and a hyperlinked editor.
