Tesla Model S opens domestic reservation

August 22 news, Kingston Chang, General Manager of Tesla Motors China announced in his personal Weibo today that TESLA Model S will officially accept reservations in China.

Kingston Chang did not reveal more information about the TESLA Model S. Reservations need to be made through the electronic mailbox [email protected] for consultation beforehand.

Previously, TESLA Model S started accepting reservations in Hong Kong, but the price was not revealed. Currently, the Model S produced in the US by Tesla costs approximately $70,000 to $100,000, and its import into China will require payment of a 25% import tax, 17% value-added tax, and consumption tax. As a result, it is estimated that the price of Tesla in our country will reach around 600,000 to 850,000 yuan.
