According to Sohu Science, citing the UK's Daily Mail, NASA mission controllers have begun testing the camera system of the "Curiosity" rover and have returned the first batch of 3D images from the Martian surface.

Some of these photos show the new home of the Mars rover in the Gale Crater. The system has also returned the first batch of clear photos, which were taken after the dust on one of the main cameras of the rover was successfully removed.

NASA has started testing some scientific instruments used for searching for the building blocks of life. NASA will release more images in the coming days.
