Operating system shutdown is a patent?

If you think shutting down is a very simple thing, software giants will tell you that it is really complicated, you need to ask the user if they really want to shut down, whether there are any files not saved, the whole process is worth patenting. The next time Windows shuts down, you can appreciate why it occasionally takes a few minutes to shut down.
