On July 7, 2008, it was modified to bypass Kaspersky (including versions <5.0, 6.0, and 7.0 with advanced virtual machine heuristic virus scanning), Rising (Rising Antivirus), Jiangmin, Symantec (Norton), AhnLab-V3 (South Korea's An Doctor), Authentium, FileAdvisor, Fortinet (US Fei Tower), Prevx1, Ewido, VirusBuster (Qizhu Jian), QQ Doctor, and other mainstream antivirus and security software virus databases.

It bypasses Kaspersky Active Defense, Rising Active Defense, and Jiangmin 2008 Active Defense (no prompts from Rising or Jiangmin Active Defense).

In the future, it will be packed to prevent analysis and reporting by malicious individuals that would cause antivirus software to immediately detect it. Those who need an unpacked version can download older releases without packing!

There are currently many counterfeit QQ Trojan generators mimicking Golden Fox on the internet (e.g., XXX Ad-Free Version, XXX Beautified Version, XXX Unpacked Version).
