I'm only interested in the non-traditional way of reading blogs for one thing -- climbing over the wall, and there's only one blog I'd bother to climb over the wall to read right now -- GigaOm. GigaOm was fine, then it was blocked, then it was fine, but Malik's big mouth talked about the non-existent Shangri-La a few months ago, and as a result, we can't read it again.

Nowadays, there are many ways to forward ah, proxy ah, etc., but nothing is more convenient than sending a little thought to the door. And while many blogs offer email subscriptions and Google Reader feeds and displays, I just don't like reading content from feed readers. Their typography is mostly ugly and bland at best, and so is reading from email.

Today we just discovered Tabbloid, an experimental product from HP. You can specify any feed, Tabbloid reads the content and produces a PDF, which is emailed to you at the specified frequency. The content layout of PDF looks decent, like a magazine, very professional, very reading feeling, which is what I like and can accept. Oh, yes, I tried. Chinese content is not supported. If you still use a desktop email client and prefer magazine-like blogging, try Tabbloid.
