In July, it was reported that FeedSky was in close contact with several advertising companies to seek a sale or stake, and yesterday it officially agreed with Tenxin Interactive that the two companies would merge. For the specific amount and details involved in the merger, Lu Xinxin declined to disclose, but said that FeedSky's team of more than 10 people will be merged with Tengxin Interactive's team of more than 300 people, and will move into the new office building of Guanghua Road Building tomorrow.
Lu Xinxin believes that in the current financial crisis, Web2.0 is struggling to find a way out of the situation, the FeedSky merger has industry significance for Internet Web2.0. "This is the first successful Web2.0 company in China, and it also shows that advertising companies are expanding into new media marketing."
According to Lu Xinxin, he will be responsible for new media marketing after the merger, and FeedSky business will continue to be retained and continue to develop. According to public information, FeedSky was founded in 2005, mainly provides free RSS hosting, aggregation and other value-added services, and has received a $500,000 investment from Joint Creation Source. Tengxin Interactive was established in 2001 and is one of the earliest companies engaged in professional Internet advertising agency business in China.
Analysts believe that although the prospect of cooperation between FeedSky and Tengxin interaction remains to be seen, under the current situation, the Web2.0 industry, especially the RSS enterprises that have not formed the mainstream at present, can find a way out, which has a reference significance.
