A brief history of HTML

HTML is the unified language of the Web, and these simple tags inside Angle brackets make up the Web today. In 1991, Tim Berners-Lee wrote a document called "HTML Tags", which contains about 20 HTML tags used to tag web pages. He borrowed directly from SGML markup formats, which we later saw as HTML markup formats. This article tells a brief history of the development of HTML, a Web markup language.
