FACES.COM

Faces.com will make a lot of people reconsider where they host their blogs. It has a great interface, tons of space, lots of features, and is very fast — it's a much better user experience than MSN Spaces.

TechCrunch also praised their business model:

Users who want to remove the monthly upload limit (500MB) and bandwidth limit (10GB) can purchase a premium account for $25/year (the same price as Flickr). With this, you can upload as many files as you want, and visitors can access them without any restrictions. Advertisements will be placed on the profile pages of free users, and there will be audio ads between every four songs. The company says they will share image ad revenue with premium users and remove audio ads from their playlists.

The emphasis should be on the last sentence. Revenue sharing can increase the desire of users to upgrade to premium accounts and also stimulate word-of-mouth promotion. Moreover, since audio exists in a streaming format and cannot be easily ignored like image ads, its removal is an excellent choice.

The only issue now is that the audio player seems not to work properly. TechCrunch also encountered similar problems.
