Microsoft has already provided developers with a version upgrade for the Windows Phone 7 system, and the main new feature is the much controversial copy-paste function. This function deemed useless by Microsoft finally made its debut due to public demand.
The copy-paste operation in WP7 is very intuitive. When users click on a word in emails, IE browser, Word documents, etc., a double arrow will appear. Users can drag their finger left or right to select more text, and then a copy icon will appear above the selected text. Clicking it will complete the copy.
Pasting is also simple. In places where input is required, clicking the paste button on the virtual keyboard will allow the previously copied content to be entered. The icons for the copy and paste functions are very similar to those in Word, which won't make users feel unfamiliar.
The official release of the new features to regular users will not happen until early 2011. At that time, WP7 will undergo a significant functional update and add CDMA network support to meet user needs.
