Private park benches that you have to pay to sit on

German designer Fabian Brunsing has created a very unique Pay & Sit Bench, specifically designed for those who do not like to share their seats in the park.

The chargeable bench requires you to insert 0.50 euros to sit. In its normal state, the bench is covered with metal spikes. If you want to sit without hurting your backside, you must insert a 50-cent coin (about 4￥), which will make the metal spikes retract, allowing you to sit for a fixed period of time before an alarm sounds. A few seconds after the alarm goes off, the metal spikes will rise again.
