Microsoft has introduced two new test items on the official IE Test Drive website to help users experience the full hardware acceleration capabilities of IE9. If you have installed the IE9 Beta or a platform preview version, you can try testing your browser with "Santa’s Workshop" and "HTML5 Blizzard."

In the "Santa’s Workshop" test, the faster your browser renders the HTML5 scene, the more little elves will appear to help Santa collect gifts. Rob Mauceri, the project lead for Microsoft's IE team, stated that this test utilizes HTML5 technologies such as SVG graphics and HTML5 audio.
