Google: Change homepage for G1

Google has always kept a clean and simple homepage, but recently it seems that even Google is willing to make changes just for you – and this "you" can be none other than the G1. Is this the first time that Google has added something extra to its homepage? Many American Google users must have noticed a line of small text below the Google search bar: "New! G1 is available now. Learn about the phone." Google is really going all out with advertising for the G1!

The G1 is more than just the first Android phone; you can see that it’s practically a real Google phone. The G1 comes pre-installed with all of Google's services, allowing you to easily access the Google search page, YouTube, and Google Maps. The contacts, emails, and calendars on the phone are also synchronized with your Google account.

Ten years after launching its web search service, Google has finally made the internet portable, offering people a more personal and intimate online experience.
