Tencent Company has released an instant messaging software based on the Linux platform, bringing a faster and more convenient chat experience to Linux computer users.
The Linux version of Tencent QQ can be downloaded from the download page, and it has been available for free download and use since July 31, 2008.
Minimum hardware requirements:
CPU: 500MHz processor or higher;
Memory: 128MB RAM;
Hard Disk: at least 30MB of hard disk space;
Internet Connection (at least one type of network connection must be available: 56Kbps modem, Cable, xDSL, etc.).
Supported Linux distributions:
QQ for Linux has been successfully tested on some of the latest Linux distributions, including but not limited to the following versions:
SuSE 9 or higher;
Ubuntu 7.10 or higher;
Fedora Core 8 or higher;
It is possible that QQ for Linux can run on other Linux distributions that meet the software and hardware environment requirements, but there is no guarantee that it will run without any problems.
