How to get a Google Street View camera on your car for $300

Google has reportedly spent several million dollars on the Street View project. Roy Ragsdale, a student at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, built a portable panoramic camera that included GPS positioning and Google Earth file output for less than $300, all using open-source software.
